Veg Pulao Cooked in Thirty Minutes

3 cups of basmati rice. Soak rice for 2 hours. Rinse thoroughly and remove the water.

Ingredients:

Vegetable oil
1 tsp. cumin seeds
8 to 10 whole black peppercorns
1 medium onion, diced
1/4 cabbage chopped. Rinse and leave in a colander
2 medium potatoes, cubed
2 small tomatoes, chopped
1 tbsp. Kashmiri red chili powder
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. garam masala
Add some curry leaves
Frozen peas
Method:
To a pot, warm the oil and add the cumin seeds and black peppercorns. Sauté, bring in the onions. Add the required amount of salt. Once the onion is translucent, add the cabbage. Sauté on high for 3 to 4 minutes. Add the potatoes and the above spices, and gently mix; cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Sprinkle some curry leaves. Now add the washed rice and cover with 750 ml of cold water. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the frozen peas and very gently toss the rice. Switch off the heat and enjoy the delicious pulao!
